Actually, these are my top 10 Christmas songs. If I were to actually list ALL of my favorites, you would be reading for days - LOL!
Now, some of these are traditional and some are not quite the traditional songs of Christmas. However, these are the ones I look forward to hearing this time of year and make it seem like Christmas time.
#1 - Little Drummer Boy - Bing Crosby and David Bowie
#2 - White Christmas - Bing Crosby
Yes, can you tell I love Bing? His voice is just amazing!!
#3 - The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole
I love both versions of this song. However, Nat King Cole beats out Mel Torme
just a little bit!
#4 - Wizards in Winter - TSO
I love everything from TSO! I have seen them in concert several times
and they have never failed to impress!
#5 - The Twelve Pains of Christmas - Bob Rivers
Yes, not a "traditional" Christmas song. But who can not relate to something in this song.
It makes me laugh!!
#6 - Merry Christmas from the Family - Robert Earl Keene
Again, not a traditional Christmas song. However, every year JJ and I play this one
over and over again, singing at the top of our lungs. Ah, family bonding moments!!
Side note - I like the Montgomery Gentry version also!
#7 - O Holy Night
O Holy Night is a song I learned early on in my youth. I have even caught myself singing
this song in July.
#8 - The First Noel
Another one omy favorite "traditional" songs of the season. I am also proud to say
I can play a little of this one on the piano.
#9 - The Christmas Music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas"
My favorite cartoon show of the season! I love the meaning behind it and
I love the music from the show!
#10 - The Opening Song to National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation"
I love this movie and I love the song at the opening. Again, not a traditional song, but
still a very fun one!
So, there are my top 10 favorite Christmas songs. Did one of your favorites make the list??
Okay, I have to add a bonus song! I know people get annoyed with this song. But it is
another that JJ and I like singing together!
Love to you all!!
