I have often wondered what people listen to while they workout. Is it rock/heavy metal? Is it country? Could it even be classical music? Once those ear buds go in the ears, who knows what that person is listening to. I will admit when I first started working out, the tv would go on at home and I would just listen to whatever they had on at the gym. However, it was so blah!!
So, iTunes and I became really good friends. Have you ever just punched in workout music into the search engine on iTunes? It will come back with a variety you would not believe. Then it became an issue of what to pick, what to pick. Biggest problem is a like ALL kinds of music. I can not classify myself country, rock, etc. I LOVE all music. So, I decided to keep it interesting and make 4 different playlists. That way I don't have to listen to the same thing day after day and it keeps it interesting.
So, in case you are now curious about what is in Sissy's playlists, here is what in my first Workout playlist.
1. Paranoid - Black Sabbath
2. Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard
3. Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N' Roses
4. You Could Be Mine - Guns N' Roses
5. Bawitdaba - Kid Rock
6. Rock and Roll All Nite - KISS (you really didn't think I would not have KISS on my workout playlist did ya? Those of you how know me well no that answer is NO.)
7. Detroit Rock City - KISS
8. Uh! All Night - KISS
9. Within - KISS (This is actually my ring tone too)
10. Whiskey in the Jar - Metallica
11. Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue
12. Something in Your Mouth - Nickleback (can't help it, this song has a GREAT beat)
13. This Afternoon - Nickleback
14. Let Me Hear You Scream - Ozzy Osbourne
15. Soul Sucker - Ozzy Osbourne
16. Nothin' But a Good Time - Poison
17. Let's Go Crazy - Prince
18. Fat Bottomed Girls - Queen (my all time favorite Queen song and my unoffical theme song -- LOL)
19. Cumbersome - Seven Mary Three
20. Who Are You - The Who (of course there was going to be a Who song! I love the Who!)
Any of your favs on the list? Oh believe me, I could have added many more to just this particular list. However, I was trying to keep the lists to 20 or under. I might just have to go back and make another Rock one soon though!
HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!

Psalm 127:3
Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:
and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
That passage from the Bible says it all when I think of JJ. He is my heritage. Though he can drive me absolutely batty at times and make me feel like I being ran in tweny million directions, I could NEVER imagine my life without him.
These are some pictures I took last night when we stopped for a quick bite to eat after Boy Scouts. He can make me laugh no matter the situation. And plus, how can you love that cute face?
I love his face when he is laughing!
I see you!
Live long and prosperous!
My Boy Scout!
Thank you Lord for this blessing you have given to me.
Thank you for letting be mom to this wonderful young man.
Please always keep him safe and allow him grow in your ways.

The New Blog....
Changed the name of the blog tonight. Decided I wanted to include more about our daily lives and not just focus on the weight loss portion. Don't worry, I will still be giving updates about everyone, but it is hard to write just about weight loss. And I am SURE you all are getting tired of hearing the same ol' thing. So, here is the reveal of my newly titled blog "The Johnsons - The Good, The Bad and The Thinner". Sounds like a soap opera title doesn't it?
To kick things off, thought I would post some new pics of the hubby. It is hard to believe that is will have been SIX MONTHS since his surgery on March 27th. Wow, where has six months gone to? Seems like just yesterday he started this journey.
Notice the shirt that could double as a dress? LOL!! Thankfully, I finally have him talked into getting some new clothes. I am so proud of him!
Also, wanted to include this picture of JJ and I. He is such a goof ball, but I love him alot!

Well, I am off to bed everyone. I am going to really hate that alarm clock at 5 am if I don't go to bed SOON! Have a great night everyone!

Oh My - Can't believe it has been over a month
Oh My, it was February 8th when I last posted. YIKES!!! Where has the time went!! Life has been so crazy around here. So, here is a catch-up post to get everyone up to speed!
Great news on the Johnny front! He has lost almost 140 to 150 pounds. I just can't believe he has lost so much!! He looks totally different and feels much better. Dr. Rossi told him, at his last appointment, that he will have about 6-7 months of just losing weight and then it will hitting the gym, etc to lose more. Words can not express how proud I am of him! However, I have always been proud of him no matter what. I will try and get pics of him tomorrow and post them.
Now for me. Praise be to the Lord, the ultimate physician, the area they found in my breast turned out to be nothing! When they did the compression mammogram, the area went away. Honestly though, when I first went into the room and the technician shoed me the area, I almost passed out. It was a pretty big area. However, I just kept praying throughout the entire procedure and prayers were definitely answered. So, I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that said a prayer for me during that time. I truly appreciate them all! All of your kind words really made the waiting/worrying less stressful. Again, thank you very much!
Well, I would like to say I have been turning the workout world on its ear, but sadly I can not. Truthfully, I have not worked out for about 2 1/2 weeks now. It is a combination of alot of things. However, the biggest thing is I just have not felt like it. I have been extremely tired and my feet have killed me. However, I know if I start working out again, that my energy level will rise and then I will want to workout more.
Also, I rejoined Weigth Watchers tonight. Yes, you read that correct - rejoined. This is my fifth time trying Weight Watchers. I am hopeful that this time I will last longer than 4 weeks. I believe the biggest difference for this time will be the fact I am doing it with someone. I am telling you, working out and going to things like Weight Watchers is MUCH easier when you are doing it with someone else. And since, I joined tonight, of course I had to weigh in. So, my current weight is 243.8. Not to bad. Though I have gained three pounds but those are going to be gone REALLY SOON!!!
Finally, speaking about people who have been helping lately in my journey. I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to the following people: Cathy Appleton, Melissa Appleton and Melinda Swagger! You guys rock and I am very pleased to have you behind me pushing!! Cathy and Melissa have become my workout buddies and Weight Watchers partners. Melinda is always there to give me motivation and lend a ear when I want to complain about this journey. You three are very much appreciated even if I don't say it enough!
Have a great night everyone! I promise it will not be so long for the next post -- LOL!
